Pricing and scope

Fees you can assess before instruction.

These are London professional fee ranges. Your client care letter will confirm the fixed fee or estimate, VAT, assumptions and payment stages before work begins.

Standard settlement application

Long residence, complex absences or gaps in status sit at the higher end and may need a separate quote.

Professional fee
£2,400 to £3,800
VAT at 20%
£480 to £760
Total incl. VAT
£2,880 to £4,560

Likely third-party costs

  • Home Office settlement fee: £3,226 per applicant
  • Life in the UK test: £50 where required
  • English language test, translation, biometric appointment or priority service where required
  • The Immigration Health Surcharge is not normally payable for an application to remain permanently

Government and provider charges can change. We confirm the current amount before payment and do not add a mark-up to a true disbursement.

Typical timing

Preparation usually takes 2 to 4 weeks once the immigration history and evidence are complete. Standard UKVI decision times can change, and paid priority services depend on availability.

Questions clients ask

Before you instruct.

When should I apply?

The correct filing window depends on the settlement route and the date the qualifying period began. We calculate it before the application is prepared.

Do absences matter?

Yes. The applicable continuous residence rules and permitted absences depend on the route and dates involved.

Is the health surcharge payable?

It is not normally payable when applying for indefinite permission. A surcharge may become relevant if limited permission is granted instead.
